Here are three plant-based body cream recipes with essential oils that you can make at home.


These creams are not only nourishing for your skin but also provide a delightful aroma for a spa-like experience. Each recipe includes a list of ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and potential essential oil combinations for different purposes.

Lavender and Chamomile Relaxation Cream


Purpose: Promotes relaxation and stress relief.


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup shea butter

  • 1/4 cup cocoa butter

  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

  • 5 drops chamomile essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Put a pan over water and add the coconut, shea, cocoa butter into a bowl and place on top of the pan then melt the coconut oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter until fully liquid.

  2. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

  3. Add the lavender and chamomile essential oils to the mixture and stir well.

  4. Pour the mixture into a glass jar or container.

  5. Allow the cream to cool and solidify at room temperature or in the refrigerator.


Peppermint and Eucalyptus Invigorating Cream


Purpose: Provides an invigorating and refreshing sensation.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almond oil

  • 1/4 cup cocoa butter

  • 1/4 cup mango butter

  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil

  • 5 drops eucalyptus essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Put a pan over water and add the almond oil, mango butter, cocoa butter into a bowl and place on top of the pan , melt the almond oil, cocoa butter, and mango butter until fully liquid.

  2. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

  3. Add the peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils to the mixture and stir well.

  4. Pour the mixture into a glass jar or container.

  5. Allow the cream to cool and solidify at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Citrus and Vanilla Hydrating Cream


Purpose: Provides deep hydration and a pleasant, uplifting scent.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup avocado oil

  • 1/4 cup shea butter

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 10 drops sweet orange essential oil

  • 5 drops vanilla essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Put a pan over water and add the avocado oil, Shea butter, Coconut Oil into a bowl and place on top of the pan then melt the avocado oil, shea butter, and coconut oil until fully liquid.

  2. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

  3. Add the sweet orange and vanilla essential oils to the mixture and stir well.

  4. Pour the mixture into a glass jar or container.

  5. Allow the cream to cool and solidify at room temperature or in the refrigerator.


Storage: Store these homemade body creams in a cool, dry place. If kept properly, they can last for several months.
